Seville Weather in June: Temperature, Sunshine and What to Expect

June is when Seville starts to feel like proper summer. The weather in Seville in June is hot, dry, and full of those long summer days that make the city feel alive well into the evening. If you’re someone who genuinely likes the heat, this is a great time to be here.

The trade-off is that temperatures in June are already high, and by the end of the month, they’re firmly in the very hot category.

It’s still more manageable than July and August, but it’s worth going in with realistic expectations. If you plan your days around the heat rather than trying to push through it, June can be a brilliant time to visit.

Here’s what to expect from Seville’s weather in June, from temperatures and sunshine to what the heat actually means for your trip.

What’s the Weather Like in Seville in June?

The short answer: hot, sunny, and almost entirely dry.

Seville’s temperature in June averages around 26°C (79°F), with daytime highs reaching 32°C (90°F) and nights dropping to a comfortable 19°C (66°F).

Rain is rare. June averages just one day of rainfall across the whole month. Days are long, evenings are warm, and the city stays lively well into the night.

If you’re used to northern European summers, June in Seville will feel genuinely hot. For people who enjoy the heat, it feels perfect.

The key question most people ask is whether Seville is too hot in June, and the honest answer is: it depends.

Early June is usually still very doable for sightseeing, especially if you get out in the morning and slow down a bit in the afternoon.

Late June is when it starts to feel intense, and that’s when you really notice how much the city shifts into early starts, shaded afternoons, and long evenings.

Average High and Low Temperatures in June

  • High: 32°C (90°F)
  • Low: 19°C (66°F)

Temperatures climb steadily through the month. Early June sits in the low 30s, which feels warm but not oppressive if you take sensible precautions.

By late June, afternoon temperatures regularly push higher, and the sun is fierce between midday and mid-afternoon.

Evenings are still warm and are the best time to be out eating, drinking, and exploring the city.

This is very much the kind of month where dinner outside late in the day feels far more appealing than doing anything strenuous at 3 pm.

Local Tip

If you’re wondering how to survive Seville in the summer, the trick is to treat the middle of the day as downtime.

Seville Weather in Early June

Seville’s weather in early June is warm and settled.

Daytime temperatures hover around 28–30°C (82–86°F), evenings are pleasant, and there’s virtually no chance of rain. It’s one of the more forgiving periods for sightseeing: hot enough to feel summery, but not yet at the level where being outdoors at noon becomes a serious challenge.

For me, early June is one of the nicest times to visit Seville if you want the summer feel without the brutal end-of-month heat.

If you’re sensitive to heat, early June is the better end of the month to aim for.

Seville Weather in Late June

By the end of June, Seville’s temperature can reach the mid to high 30s on hotter days.

Late June weather in Seville is firmly summer territory: intense midday sun, very little breeze, and long bright evenings that keep the city going until well past midnight.

It’s not quite July, but it’s heading there.

The strategy for late June is the same as for July: do your outdoor sightseeing early in the morning, rest or find shade in the early afternoon, then head out again once the heat eases in the early evening.

It’s still a fun time to be here, but it’s definitely the point where you need to work with the weather rather than pretend it isn’t happening.

Good To Know

If you’re visiting in late June, it’s worth looking at hotels with rooftop pools in Seville, because there aren’t many public pools if you want somewhere to cool off after sightseeing.

Hours of Daylight in June

June has the longest days of the year in Seville, with around 15 hours of daylight.

Sunrise falls between 7:04 am and 7:06 am, barely shifting through the month around the summer solstice. Sunset is between 9:39 pm and 9:48 pm, getting gradually later.

The long evenings are one of the best things about June in Seville.

That’s a big part of why June still feels enjoyable despite the temperatures: you can take it slow in the hottest part of the day and still have loads of time left for sightseeing, drinks, or dinner outside.

Even after a midday break from the heat, you have hours of good light ahead of you. It’s also a great month for catching sunset from one of the city’s rooftop bars.

This is really when Seville starts to lean into its late-evening rhythm, and the city feels at its best once the sun begins to drop.

Rainfall in June in Seville

June averages around 10mm of rainfall across just one day.

If you’re coming from the UK (where we frequently have wet summers), I quite like the odds of just one day of rain.

That’s about as dry as it gets. If it does rain, it’s usually a brief passing storm that clears quickly. It’s not the kind of month where rain is likely to affect your plans in any meaningful way.

You almost certainly won’t need a rain jacket or umbrella.

Skip them and use the bag space for something more useful. In June, sun protection matters far more than wet-weather gear.

Humidity in June in Seville

Humidity stays at around 48% in June, lower than the spring months and generally comfortable despite the high temperatures.

Seville doesn’t have the heavy, sticky humidity you get in more tropical climates. The heat is dry, which makes it more bearable than the numbers might suggest. It’s still hot, obviously, but it usually feels more manageable than a humid city at the same temperature.

UV Index in June

The UV index in June is 9, classed as very high. This is not optional sun protection territory.

The Seville sun in June is intense, and it’s easy to underestimate it because the dry heat doesn’t always feel as punishing as it is.

Wear high-SPF sunscreen (SPF 50 is sensible), bring a hat and sunglasses, and avoid direct sun between 11 am and 3 pm where possible.

Stay hydrated throughout the day.

There are drinking fountains across the city, and the tap water in Seville is safe to drink. Even if you normally cope well in hot weather, this is the kind of sun that catches up with you faster than you expect if you’re out sightseeing for hours.

What to Wear in Seville in June

It’s always worth checking the forecast before you leave, but generally, here’s what to pack for June.

  • Light summer clothes throughout. T-shirts, shorts, linen trousers, and light dresses are all appropriate. The lighter the fabric, the better.
  • Evenings cool down to around 19°C (66°F), which is comfortable for most people, but a light layer is worth having if you’re planning a long night out. You probably won’t need much, but it’s handy if you’re still out late or sitting somewhere breezy.
  • Comfortable walking shoes are important. There are cobblestones everywhere, and they can feel brutal on your feet in the heat.
  • Leave the raincoat at home. Focus the luggage space on sun protection instead.

Good To Know

If there’s one thing people tend to underestimate in Seville in June, it’s not the heat itself so much as how draining the combination of sun, walking, and hard pavement can feel by the afternoon.

Things to Do in Seville in June

June is a good month in Seville as long as you work with the heat rather than against it.

Mornings and evenings are the best times for outdoor sightseeing.

Midday suits indoor attractions, a long lunch, or a siesta.

And honestly, I think June is at its best once you stop trying to do everything in the middle of the day and lean into Seville’s slower summer rhythm instead.

Some highlights for June:

  • Visit the Real Alcázar early in the morning before it heats up. The gardens are still beautiful in June
  • If you’re in Seville at the start of the month, then you’ll be able to see the Corpus Christi procession in the historic centre.
  • Catch a concert at Noches en Los Jardines del Real Alcázar (Nights in the Gardens of the Royal Alcázar), which runs from late June through the summer
  • Spend an evening in Parque de María Luisa once the heat drops. It’s a completely different experience from midday
  • Take a day trip to the beach. Cádiz is easily reachable by public transport and is a good escape from the city’s heat
  • Head to Málaga for La Noche de San Juan on 23 June. Bonfires on the beach, fireworks, and midsummer celebrations

June is one of the best months for a long night out in Seville, because the city really comes into its own once the worst of the heat has passed.

Icónica Sevilla Fest

One of the city’s main summer music events, held at the Plaza de España with nightly concerts from Spanish and international artists.

The festival runs from early June through to the end of July. If you enjoy live music, it’s worth checking the programme before your trip.

It’s also a pretty special setting for a concert, and one of those summer events that makes Seville feel especially lively in June.

Seville Pride

Towards the end of June, Seville holds a four-day Pride celebration with parades, events, and a lively atmosphere across the city centre.

It draws a big crowd, and the city centre gets busy around the main parade days. If your trip overlaps with it, expect a fun atmosphere but also a busier-than-usual centre, especially around the main events.
