The month stays pretty consistent, so there’s not much difference between Seville weather in early July and Seville weather at the end of July – it’s hot all the time.
Because of the heat, school summer holidays have already started in Andalucia so lots of families escape the city by heading to cooler provinces or the coast.

There’s no getting away from the heat – so many locals tend to escape to nearby beches. The silver lining is that the city is a lot quieter than at other times of the year.

The weather in Seville throughout July is hot, with daytime highs around 36°C (97°F) or higher. Like a lot of the world, Seville has had record-breaking temperatures in recent years.
The mornings are a little cooler so we recommend getting up early for sightseeing, by about 11 am, you’ll feel the temperatures gradually rising – by mid-afternoon stay indoors, and take a siesta until after the sun has set.
You’ll want to pack lightweight clothing, even the evenings are very warm so you even need a thin jacket.

✔️ A fan is also really useful – if you don’t have one, don’t panic, there are plenty of places in the city which sell beautiful fans.
✔️ Bring comfortable footwear for walking around the city – there are cobblestones everywhere – tennis shoes and Birkenstocks are both good options.

Things to do in Seville in July
Visiting Seville in July can feel like a double-edged sword.
On one side, it’s insanely hot, and lots of things shut down for summer. The flip side is that the city is a little quieter than at other times of the year, so sightseeing is more pleasant.

- Enjoy live concerts at Noches en Los Jardines del Real Alcázar (Nights in the Gardens of the Royal Alcazar) – these start towards the end of June and run throughout July
- Escape the crazy heat and visit some of the top galleries and museums of Seville – most of them have strong air conditioning!
- If you’re travelling with kids, then Agua Magica Water Park is a great option.
And two great day trips from Seville
- Escape the heat and do what the locals do and go to the beach – one of the most accessible beaches to Seville is Cadiz.
- Head to Malaga for Big Sound Festival, which is Spain’s largest urban music festival. It takes place around the middle of July.
