I’ll admit it, I’m an absolute coffee snob.
When I moved to Seville, finding a solid place to satisfy my caffeine addiction was one of the first things I did. After trying countless cafes and working my way through their menus, here’s my list of places that serve up the best coffee in Seville.
The TLDR; Virgen Coffee is Seville’s original speciality coffee shop and still one of my favourites despite it being take-out only!
However, over the past few years, Seville’s coffee culture has really bloomed. Every few weeks, a new barista coffee place is opening up.
Whether you’re a fellow coffee snob or looking for a vibrant place to meet with friends over a cuppa, these cafes in Seville won’t disappoint! Discover these 14 great Seville coffee shops that you should try.

14 Best Coffee Shops in Seville
When I go out for coffee in Seville, it’s usually for two reasons. The first is to satisfy my own caffeine need with something I can’t make at home. Second, to meet with friends in a comfortable environment and catch up over a good cup.
I’ve divided the article into two categories.
The first section is all about places to go for speciality coffee – although the coffee is top-notch, they often don’t have much seating.
The second section is my favourite cafes in Seville that still serve great coffee but also have a fantastic vibe, perfect for meeting with friends.

Best Speciality Coffee in Seville, Spain
1. Virgen Coffee
Topping this list of best coffee in Seville is Virgin Coffee. This is Seville’s original gourmet coffee place, opening its doors in 2015.
This hole-in-the-wall coffee bar is tucked behind one of Sevilla’s most famous landmarks, La Setas.
It’s a small spot, perfect for grabbing a quality coffee to go – they also sell beans to take home. Their coffees are made from high-quality beans that are blended and roasted on-site.
It’s a definite case of quality over quantity, and although their menu is limited, what they do serve is excellent! I always order the flat white here. When my sister and her boyfriend visited, they particularly loved the cold brew.
Location: C. Regina, 1, Casco Antiguo, 41003 Sevilla

2. MUY Cafe
MUY Coffee is one of the growing number of speciality coffee shops in Sevilla, Spain.
It’s known for having some of the best tasting coffee in Seville.
Located just a few minute walk, between Feria and Alameda, it’s one of the best coffee places in Seville if you’re in the north of the city. The place is small, so it’s easy to miss – there’s an A-board sign on the street opposite pointing to it.
Because it’s small, there’s limited seating on a handful of bench-style seats.
They also sell coffee beans and a small range of gourmet coffee-making equipment.
Location: Correduría, 14, local 3, Casco Antiguo, 41003 Sevilla

3. Paraceia
Paraceia is a charming small cafe located opposite Feria Market.
Coffee is well presented, arriving on a cute wooden board with a little card that explains the coffee, and a glass of water. Aside from serving up excellent coffee they also serve up the best brunch in Seville – I love their selection of toasts.
The cafe has indoor seating with a retro look, think bold colours and black and white zigzag flooring. They have a few tables outside. Along with their selection of coffees, they also sell beans to take home.
It sometimes gets busy here, so you might have to wait for a table. However, it’s worth the wait!
Location: Plaza de Calderon de la Barca 9, 41003 Seville

4. Hispalis
Hispalis, located in Casco Antiguo, is a family project run by three brothers that opened in 2022.
I’ve been here several times – usually, I opt for their drip coffee or flat white. It’s also the place to go if you are looking for a decent iced coffee in Seville.
Because the cafe is on a corner, two sides of the building have large windows. It’s bright and airy with seating along high stools on the window bars. I also love their ode to coffee messaging on the walls and windows, which adds a unique touch.
Along with their speciality coffees, they sell some coffee-making equipment and freshly roasted beans.
Location: C. Amor de Dios, 1, Casco Antiguo, 41002 Sevilla

5. Jester
This popular spot in Puerta Carne, close to Barrio Santa Cruz, specialises in coffee and juices, as well as smoothie bowls making it one of the best coffee shops in Seville to have brunch.
There are two other branches in the city, but this one is the most popular.
Although there’s no indoor seating, they have plenty of tables outside with large umbrellas for shade. There’s often a queue here, especially on weekends and mornings.
I absolutely love their smoothie bowls; my particular favorute is the peanut butter one.
The staff are really friendly, and the coffee is excellent.
There are three branches in the city: Jester Puerta de la Carne – C. Prta de la Carne, 7a, Casco Antiguo, 41004 Sevilla | Jester Casco Antiguo – C. Albareda, 24, Casco Antiguo, 41001 Sevilla | Jester Triana – C/ Asunción, 8, 41011 Sevilla

6. Placida y Grata
Placida y Grata was recommended to me by a fellow coffee-snob friend visiting the city. Naturally, I went to check it out and was not disappointed.
It’s a bit hidden away, located on the ground floor of a hotel, and you probably wouldn’t stumble upon it unless you knew where to look.
You don’t have to stay at the hotel to enjoy their excellent coffee and breakfast options. I enjoyed the eggs Benedict with a drip coffee.
This bright, modern space serves breakfast and brunch, including snacks, omelettes, juices, and speciality coffees.
There’s plenty of indoor seating and a nice patio terrace out back.
Location: C. Monsalves, 4, Casco Antiguo, 41001 Sevilla

7. Syra Coffee
There are three branches of Syra Coffee in the city, they vary from being a take-out only place to having seating.
My favourite branch is the Tetuán one, which is connected to a hotel in a covered terrace. It’s also one of the few cafes in Seville where I can take my laptop and work, thanks to the long central table with power sockets. The cafe is in a bright, modern, and airy atrium.
This Spanish chain serves up seasonal speciality coffee, ethically and sustainably sourced from small farms around the world, roasted with passion in Barcelona.
I usually opt for a flat white here, although if I need an instant pick-me-up I’ll just have an espresso, and they are always excellent. They also sell coffee beans and sweet treats.
It’s one of my favourite coffee places in Seville to get some work done, with very chilled vibes.
Locations: Syra Coffee Tetuan – C. Jovellanos, 3, Casco Antiguo, 41004 Sevilla | Syra Coffee Alvarez Quintero – C. Álvarez Quintero, 20, Casco Antiguo, 41004 Sevilla | Syra Coffee Las Setas – C. Jerónimo Hernández, 14-16, Casco Antiguo, 41003 Sevilla

8. Ringo Banana
Ringo Cafe, with its super cute name, is an equally cute spot located opposite the Church of Santa Catalina – insider tip – this church is beautiful inside, so it’s worth a peek while you’re in the area.
There are a few tables inside and a couple outdoors on the pedestrian-only street.
This cafe specialises not only in great coffee but also sells tasty homemade bakery goods, with plenty of plant-based options.
As a veggie, I LOVE that I can eat everything on their menu – it’s one of the few veggie-only places in Seville.
They also offer plenty of healthy food options like smoothies, made with fresh, local, and largely organic ingredients.
Location: C. Alhondiga, 8, Casco Antiguo, 41003 Sevilla

9. Delatribu
Delatribu is located in the pedestrian area of Barrio Santa Cruz, just a few minutes from the Alcazar and Cathedral. It’s not quite a hole in the wall – but not far off!
It’s very small inside with no seating although there are a couple of seats outside, – it’s mostly a takeout place. Despite that, they do serve up some of the best speciality coffee in Seville.
Considering its size, there’s so much packed into this tiny space – the walls are stacked floor to ceiling with coffee-making equipment, beans, posters, and paraphernalia.
The coffee here is smooth and flavourful, and the server was super friendly, you can tell they are passionate about coffee – also, if you’re not sure what to have they will happily talk you through recommendations.
Location: Pje. Andreu, 3, Casco Antiguo, 41004 Sevilla

Coffee Places in Seville for the Vibe
The downside of most speciality places is that most are tiny venues with just a coffee counter, so they’re not great for meeting with friends.
Here’s my list of the best cafes in Seville that still serve good coffee but also have a great vibe. These are my go-to’s for when I want to hang out and enjoy a nice atmosphere.
10. Orfeo
Orfeo is a bright, spacious cafe filled with shelves of retro memorabilia like old telephones, fans, and toys. There’s plenty of indoor-only seating.
During the day, it’s quite relaxed, making it a great place to work on your laptop or a casual meetup with friends. One thing to note is that there’s no wifi, so you’ll need to hotspot via your phone.
They serve excellent coffee, but the menu can be a bit confusing – there wasn’t one when I last visited! You just need to know what you want, and they’ll make it for you.
Orfeo is one of the best cafes in Seville for offering alternative things to do – they have a fairly full calendar of events in the evenings and host things like open mic nights and improv sessions.
Location: Jesús del Gran Poder, 19, Casco Antiguo, 41002 Sevilla

11. East Crema
East Crema Coffee, a Spanish chain, aims to spread the culture of good speciality coffee to everyone who wants to enjoy a real cup of coffee.
Specialty Coffee East Crema, located in Casco Antiguo, is another new speciality shop which has popped up recently.
It has a chilled atmosphere, with plenty of seating around circular tables making it a great spot for coffee with friends. The modern decor and large windows make the space airy and clean.
I had the drip coffee, while my friend enjoyed one of the iced fruit teas. The quality of both the coffee and the service is top-notch and the friendly staff add to the experience.
I also love their cups, menu, and merchandise illustrations, which remind me of 1920s Betty Boop animations.
Location: C. Sta. María de Gracia, 1, Casco Antiguo, 41002 Sevilla

12. Un Gato en bicicleta
La Gata en Bicicleta feels like a mish-mash of shabby chic combined with an art gallery. It has exposed brick and peeling paint, with plenty of original features from the building mixed in with eclectic decor. I love the artwork on the walls; lots of it is for sale.
There’s plenty of indoor seating, with a chilled atmosphere making it a great place for a quiet catch-up with a friend.
Although I’m predominantly a coffee drinker, they also have an excellent selection of teas! Also a good selection of delicious home-baked cakes.
There are even a couple of high tables with stools to sit and work at, which is a rarity among Seville coffee shops.
Location: C. Pérez Galdós, 22, Casco Antiguo, 41004 Sevilla

13. La Cacharreria
I adore La Cacharreria for its old-school rustic vibe with cosy seating, bare brick walls, and hanging plants from the ceiling. There are also a few small outdoor tables along the pedestrian-only street.
The atmosphere has a certain buzz to it, with lots of chatter and a good ambience. Admittedly, it’s probably not the best place to sit and read a book, but it’s perfect for enjoying a cuppa with friends.
This spot is so popular that you often have to queue to get a seat.
Another great thing here is that they have several veggie options on their menu. Their cakes are also excellent; even though I’m not a huge fan of sweet stuff, I love the carrot cake here.
Location: C. Regina, 14, Casco Antiguo, 41003 Sevilla

14. El Viajero Sedentario
Located in Alameda de Hercules along the main strip of bars, El Viajero Sedentario is a quirky spot that has a local feel and is fairly quiet most times I’ve visited during the daytime.
There’s a small terrace outside, with a shaded spot under the tree. Inside, it’s long and narrow with a cosy ambience.
There are tons of books people have left behind, making it a great spot to sit and read. They also have a decent selection of board games, making this cafe in Seville a great place to go on a rainy day.
Besides coffee, they serve a wide selection of wine, beer, and cocktails, along with a small food menu for light bites.
Location: Alameda de Hércules, 77, Casco Antiguo, 41002 Sevilla

Coffee Roasters in Seville
Although many of the speciality cafes I’ve mentioned sell beans to take home, I have to give a special shoutout to El Hombre Pez in this coffee guide.
This place is purely for buying coffee beans; there’s no option to sit and drink here. It’s where I pick up my coffee beans to make at home.
Inside, the shop is stacked high with different sacks of beans, and if you time it right, you can see them being roasted. You can even smell the roasting from the street!
El Hombre Pez Location: C. Alfonso XII, 23, Casco Antiguo, 41001 Sevilla
Another great place to pick up good quality coffee beans is at Ineffable Coffee Roasters.
They are based in Dos Hermanas just outside the city. You can order beans online through their website, which is great if you’re staying in Seville for longer than a few days.
